Rhones, North and South!
Blends of Roussane and Marsanne grapes herald from the Northern Rhone valley in traditional French styles. Our very own “Lizzy” is a nod to the genius Rhone vintners, with a Washington State flare. The Roussane comes from Alder Ridge Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills AVA, boasting a unique marine climate from the cliff of the Columbia River. Our Marsanne comes from the highly acclaimed Boushey Vineyards in Yakima Valley AVA, revealing the ancient flood minerality and volcanic deposit terroir of the region. Blended together, these varietals make a smooth and fruity round white wine, excellent for summer sipping and BBQs!
The Southern Rhone boasts our favorite blends…no other region in the world allows 13 varietals to make up a blend of red table wine! “Moth Love” is a Syrah based blend with plenty of Mourvedre and Grenache to keep it interesting. All three varietals come from Rattlesnake Hills AVA, Elephant Mountain Vineyards. Dennis Gayte, the vineyard manager, recently move from the Rhone region where he lived and breathed grape vines for 12 years!
