The team at AniChe Cellars is best described as a tight-knit, multigenerational, and passionately community-driven collective. Rather than a rigid corporate structure, the workforce operates with an “it takes a village” ethos, deeply rooted in family ties and long-standing friendships.

Rachael Horn, Founder
Rachael started the winery over 15 years ago, mobilizing her family into a well oiled machine to help materialize her vision of a ethical long lasting winery. Rachael was the head winemaker and CEO until 2025, when she passed the reigns on to her children, making our second generation winery a reality.

Todd Mera, Co-founder
Todd has been the behind the scenes hero since our opening. Whether its fixing our heavy equipment, or finding ways to integrate AI into our business, Todd is always there to help us when we are in need of saving.

Anais Mera, Head Winemaker
Anais is our head Winemaker and now our leader in the winery. Taking on the mantel from her mother she is helping breath new life into the winery, managing all facets of the winery’s business from the vineyard to sales strategies.

Tom Dixon, Production & Warehouse
Tom is the loving husband of Ani and manager of our cellar and warehouse. From moving pallets of wine from winery to tasting room, to shucking oysters, doing dishes and topping barrels, Tom is a multifaceted player in the business.

Che Horn, Heir
Che begun as the unwilling Heir but is now the jack of all trades for any issues that pop up in the winery. From fixing our internet, building a website, to harvesting fruit, Che works within every corner of the business.

Surreal Hawthorne, Operations, Grounds & Production
Surreal is the fiancée of Che and has been here since the beginning helping with our first crush in 2009. Starting off with helping us through crush on hay floors to helping us manage day to day operations, Surreal manages our grounds, delivers wonderful service in the tasting room, and helps manage harvest and production procedures.

Kelly Anderson, Wine Club Sales & Admin
Kelly is the cousin of Tom and integral member of our team. Kelly handles our wine club sales, delivers top notch service in the tasting room, and manages all of our back of the house administration.

Jocelyn Bentley-Prestwich, Community Ambassador
Jocelyn is our long lasting ambassador to our community and in our tasting room. She runs her own vineyard and flower farm called Closter flock farms.
